These clear smoky-citrine towers arose from the ground in Minais Gerais State, Brazil.
They exhibit three growth stages.
A central crystal is surrounded by parallel points, which are coated by tiny quartz druse.
The crystals look tan-colored when lit from the front, and warm gold colored when lit from the back.
In these images, late afternoon sunlight brings out the beautiful color and intricate details.
